My Cooper’s Hawk speaks to me most mornings. Bigfork, Montana on April 27, 2020
Here we are in a New Season, 2020!
Farmers mention the weather. This past winter was mild in N.W. Montana. Never cold, or below 0 degrees. The Spring has had a few cold nights in the 19 degree area, wind, and rain. A spring that an old timer would call, “unusual.” The crops seem to be doing well. Our raspberry plants need serious work. We have spent much time clearing away two tall pines that came down in a bad, cyclone wind. There seems to be never enough time for our work. We planted 30 new fruit trees. During this remarkable spring Covid 19 visited our country. The Getmans have been in seclusion for 3 months. We spend our days with our puppies, dogs, plants, and trees. We have great empathy for those who are suffering. We are grateful to be in spacious Montana. Everyday, we work to bring a good crop of fruit to our customers.
Our estimate for our cherry crop this year is about July 17.
