The gardens and orchard trees are in constant change. This past spring we planted more peach trees. We are watching two 4 year old Morello Cherry trees from England. We have added blueberries and several blackberries. This Orchard stays the same but is always changing.
Vegetables are ordered, primarily, from http://www.fedcoseeds.com in Maine. There is constant experimentation as we search for winter hardy seeds. We save our own seed from well performing plants. Our blackberries have grown high along the fence and they are in great production. They are deliciously flavored: tart, but not unbearably sour.
Our two main goals are to create beauty and to grow the best vegetables, fruits and herbs that we can grow in our Montana location. We do enjoy a, “temperate climate, Lake effect,” from Flathead Lake. This means warmer temperatures compared to some areas in our valley.
Soil is a number one effort. We use a peat moss that is scraped from the bottom of an ancient Montana Lake. It gives us wonderful nutrients and great drainage.
Our water is abundant, clean, and from the mountain top behind our orchard. We have a very high tech, wonderful irrigation system. We appreciate our good, clean, abundant, and delicious, water everyday.
All of our gardens are organic. We grow nearly everything we might need for great meals during the summer and winter.

Love this. so looking forward to coming out to your farm. Sounds absolutely amazing.
