Our shipping orders are now sealed and closed. We will ship boxes on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. The boxes are usps, mail, two day priority.
When you receive your cherries, rinse them in a colander. Refrigerate.
Our picking will begin July 29, 2020. Please call Dan for an arrangement and time for your visit. 406-871-5499. Visitors should bring containers for taking home your cherries. We are asking people to wear a mask, and children over 5 years of age.

Here are the Orchard Cherries today. Our harvest will be around July 24 for this 2020 Season. Our shipping date will be finalized later, but near July 24. We will keep everyone informed.
We will schedule people for u pick after July 24. We should have cherries for about 3 weeks. Call Dan at 406-871-5499 for an appointment after July 24. We will be conducting a safe harvest and will carefully keep pickers and families, groups, safely distanced.
The Orchard will provide beautiful fruits throughout the months until Fall. Our spirits will be high. Summer in Montana is precious.
The Pandemic Season, never to be forgotten. We have been sheltered in since February 16. Blessings to all. We expect a beautiful crop of fruit this year. Even the apricots may produce. Cherries are shedding their blossoms and the peach crop looks beautiful.
It is our goal to be able to bring safe fruit to everyone this season. We will keep you informed about how we plan to harvest. For now, May 12, we will get our shipping orders organized and nurture our plants and trees.
We picked and packed many pounds of cherries today. We shipped boxes yesterday and today. All boxes should arrive at their destinations by Friday. Good luck to our boxes in transit.

Cherry harvest will be when the cherries are ready. Our best guess is around July 20, 2017. We will announce our harvest date for each crop here. Raspberries are growing nicely and will be ready at about the same date.
Facts for our Cherry customers: Call 406-871-5499 to arrange for an orchard visit for cherries. These times are usually after 4 pm, when the fruit begins to cool down from the warm day. On weekends, we offer early hours. We try to work with everyone.
Cherries should be rinsed in cool water and placed in the refrigerator after you get them home.
Many people freeze cherries. They can be great as snacks and frozen with pits spread on a cookie sheet and then bagged. It can be great to have pitted, frozen cherries. They are very popular for smoothies, sauces, salads, and in many recipes.
If you are making a mail order from us: We will ship on our harvest day. We use two day mail. Alert for mail carrier when you know our ship date or before. It helps to have a caring and supportive mail person who will not leave the box for the next day but will make a bit of an effort to get them to you.

This is a typical cluster today. We are now passing straw color and into the reds spectrum. Let us know if you want a shipped box, or, ” will call”. These photos are Lapins, our dark, sweet cherry. Queen Annes and Rainier Cherries will be ready earlier. We will have some tarts to share. U Pickers will come after harvest. Call for an appointment any day at 4pm. When the orchard trees begin to cool, it is a good time for picking. 
Our branches are loaded to the ground . We are excited. Much labor will go into this harvest, but it is something we enjoy. We expect to give many people a great Orchard experience this year ! We will keep you posted as we progress towards our harvest and ship date.
Throughout the year our work is aimed at one targeted goal. The goal is Harvest, with a capital ‘H’. It feels like we hold our breath during the entire year. Determination and hard work will not bring it forth. Projections, outlines, practices, or statistical data bases can never make it happen.
To succeed, each and all of the elements, the luck, the efforts, the intentions, the science, the grace, the physical labor……Well, everything has to come together. To us, it is a celebration and a miracle.
