We are still  making progress in 2023.  This is a long art project.   We are almost ready to finish the exterior.  Close, we are very close to the last trim work on the interior. We keep our humor and enjoy our work.  Two people building a new home, with our own hands,  for many to enjoy.   In these photos, you are seeing phases of mid construction progress.  We are using birch, vertical old fir, fireclay sinks, Rohl English faucets.  Countertops, Carrera Marble. During this past winter we have nearly finished our Interior. We are our own designers, architects, builders, & crew.

The Orchard  House is our most inspiring project.  We designed the house for our senses, feelings,  and for our work needs.  The goal is to be able to have a house for art, abundant foods, learning, and music. A native Montanan, but not interested in the browned, brown, of late. In our opinion we could be Montanan and define an Orchard House. There are many as precedents. This is the home of fruits and vegetables: surely color is part of our picture. No room here is all white and no southwestern rooms with coyotes. Purely, Orchard, Montana is what we have built on this astonishing Montana Land.

It has been an ardent journey and we have stayed with the work.  Highly motivated and on target while operating our big orchard and vineyard.  Our knowing about work and work attitudes has helped us tremendously.  Sometime, we may share  more about how we managed to stay positive and uplifted through several years of labor.  We remain excited.
